Spending more time at home and watching your electric bills rise? Trying to help your wallet and the environment? Rooftop solar lets the sunshine pay your bill OR power your car – or both! Learn how Solar United Neighbors' solar co-ops and membership help you plug into the sun. We’ll cover technology and economics of solar and electric vehicles. Many consumers are surprised at how much costs have dropped in recent years. The webinar will be both live and interactive. The first segment features experts on solar and EV. In the second segment, you'll hear firsthand stories from folks who have both an EV and rooftop solar, or PV. We'll close out with a Q+A segment. Learn how electric vehicles and photovoltaic systems (PV) are the sunniest match in the South.

Webinar

Online via Zoom webinar
Monopoly utilities have a long history of opposing rooftop solar. They base their opposition on the false claim that non-solar customers subsidize people with solar. This is often called the "cost-shift" argument.

This myth is a dangerous threat to solar. It allows utilities to push anti-solar policies. These policies make it harder for you to go solar.

We will teach you how to dispel the pernicious “cost-shift” argument during this webinar. Expert presenters Karl Rábago, and Nicole Sitaraman will join us. Rábago is a former Texas Public Service Commissioner. Sitaraman is Sunrun's Senior Manager for Public Policy. After their presentations, we will have time for Q&A.

Hello and thank you for checking out the solar co-op!

Whether you’re just curious about solar, or you’re ready to make the switch now, I’m here to help. I can answer any questions you have about solar. I’ll give you installer-neutral guidance to help you make an informed, confident decision about going solar.

My experience in architecture, community service and environmental education includes energy and resource stewardship. I work throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast, helping communities go solar, join together, and fight for energy rights. Solar co-ops are a big part of this work!

I love seeing fellow Floridians harvesting sunshine to lower their electric bills and build a clean, equitable energy system in their communities!

Take a look around the co-op page, and let me know how I can help you today.
