NW Indiana Committee Selects Jefferson Electric to Serve the Group

Friday, December 18, 2020

The NW Indiana Solar and EV Charger Co-op is excited to announce that your selection committee chose Jefferson Electric as the solar co-op’s installer. The solar co-op used a competitive bidding process to solicit bids from area installers. A selection committee made up of solar co-op members then met for nearly three hours to review the proposals and the select winning bid. The selected installer was chosen for their competitive pricing, quality components, and robust warranties. We’re excited to be working with them!

“I joined the solar co-op to learn more about the process for installing solar at my house, and to also get a better idea of what it would cost,” said co-op member Jerry Pagell of Crown Point. “The solar co-op has been very helpful by providing webinars and other resources to make the whole process easy.”

Jerry served on the committee of co-op members who volunteered to review bids and choose an installer for the groups. “I found that our discussion during the selection process was extremely helpful in better understanding the features offered by the different vendors, as well as the different costs and options that are available,” he said.

Max Kennerk, Senior Account Manager for Jefferson Electric, expressed enthusiasm about working with the group. “It is an honor to be selected because we know how thoroughly the co-op reviewed each bid,” he said. “We’ve worked hard to build our reputation and spread the love of clean energy and energy independence in central Indiana. We are ecstatic to help more Hoosiers go solar by providing them with an amazing customer experience through these co-ops.”

The co-op will be open to new members through March 31 and will host additional information sessions in the new year.
