Plano Solar Co-op selects RISE Power to serve group

Friday, April 9, 2021

Plano, TX – The Plano Solar Co-op has selected RISE Power to install solar panels for the 83-member group. Co-op members selected RISE Power through a competitive bidding process over 13 other firms. The group will hold another virtual public information session this month, April 15th at 6:30pm, to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

“RISE Power is honored to be selected as the Plano Solar Co-op installation partner!” said Ben Bryner, COO and Co-founder of RISE power. “We are passionate about making solar affordable to everyone, and truly feel that we live by our motto: ‘Solar. Done Right.’”

Solar United Neighbors expands access to solar by educating Texas residents about the benefits of distributed solar energy, helping them organize group solar installations, and strengthening solar policies and its community of solar supporters.

Co-op members selected RISE Power for the company’s competitive pricing, local experience, and panel and battery storage options.

“Rise Power has a very good selection of equipment for various budgets. Their costs and the fact that they are a local company is a big benefit for the members of the co-op,” said selection committee member, Jeff Schaffer. “We look forward to working with them.”

The co-op is open to new members until May 30. Plano-area residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at www.solarunitedneighbors.org/Plano.

The solar co-op is free to join and joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. RISE Power will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, members can save on the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group members and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.

Solar United Neighbors supports solar co-ops across the country. These co-ops are a part of the organization’s mission to create a new energy system with rooftop solar as the cornerstone. Solar United Neighbors holds events and education programs to help people become informed solar consumers, maximize the value of their solar investment and advocate for fair solar policies. Those interested in supporting the organizations’ work and becoming a member can do so at their website.
